Child Health – There is a weekly drop in clinic carried out by the health visitors at Plean Street Clinic on Thursday from 9.30- 11.30.
Immunisation – A weekly clinic for childhood vaccinations takes place on Wednesday afternoons. Appointments for this clinic will be issued by the health visitor. We have a programme for vaccinating all babies and children for polio, tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, rubella, mumps, meningitis C and HIB. Parents are notified when these are due.
Adults immunisations – including tetanus boosters, hepatitis B for healthcare workers, fire fighters, police officers etc., and influenza for those over 65 or suffering from chronic heart or lung problems or diadetes.
Minor Surgery – A selection of minor injection procedures is performed in the practice avoiding the need for a hospital visit. Please ask at reception for details.
Travel Advice – check with the practice nurse at least 6 weeks before departure to discuss vaccination and health issues. Further information is available from the above tab.
